Blackberry Bold restricted by work access

Afternoon

I bought a second hand Blackberry Bold 9000 on Ebay but the seller never told me some parts of the phone were resticted by "IT Policy" from his previos employer. Things such as Maps, Browser, BBM, Personal Email etc..

Im having trouble contacting him now and if worse comes to worse is there anyway I can remove the "IT Policy" as I don't even have the Browser icon!

I have tried updating the software to 5.0 but the problems are still there.

Have you tried a reset?

1. Go to Options
2. Select Security Options
3. Select General Settings
4. Click the Menu key
5. Select Wipe Handheld
6. Click Continue
7. Type in the word blackberry

It dosen't seem to have that options, only a security wipe which i guess is to stop colleagues wiping their phone

Download JLCommander and wipe it, then install the latest 5.0 OS from crackberry.com. No idea if that will fix it, I've never had to deal with BES, but it's worth a shot.

I am a Blackberry Enterprise admin at work, this is how I wipe security policy settings from handsets (method 2 always works).
