I've never reversed up a mini ramp before, it was a bit strange

You could put some lengths of wood on the ramp to narrow the angle.....

I hate those ramps, I always have and always will just jack it up and put it on stands if necessary.

Plus reversing on those would rip my front end off.

I think it would! this is my old car jacked up slightly whilst the exhaust was off, probably jacked up so little you couldnt get the wheel off.
Could just get your finger under there
