Bluetooth connection to TV

I bought a Bluetooth connector for the TV, for the love of me it wont connect to the headphones I have, any of them.

Just want something I can plug into the tv headphone slot or USB and be able to connect Bluetooth headphones.

Anyone got any recommendations?

I could be wrong, but it maybe a little tricky given that the audio through the standard speaker output, has to be stopped and diverted elsewhere.

I have a cheapish Sony wireless setup that has a little radio base-station that plugs into the 3.5mm jack on the front of the surround sound speaker unit. That works fine - though when I had the TV on its own, it was a bind as the jack was right in the centre at the rear of the panel TV and virtually unreachable when wall-mounted. Great design there Samsung...
