Blur Beta

Anyone signed up?

Just had a quick bash. Basically it'a Mario Kart with real cars. It looks nothing like PGR 4, their previous title.

Not bad, might give it a go if there's nothing else out worth playing when it's out.

I didn't get one so had to use someone elses account earlier. Just had a reply off my mate at Bizarre Creations though, and he's going to fire me one over at some point.

Just applied for a code and it will be emailed on 8th March along with a 48hr Live Gold code.

How are you downloading? I thought they were sensing out 8th march?

Bizzare staff have codes to dish out to friends and family. I mailed my mate at Bizzare and got him to send me a code over. :D

Worked with him at Rage when we were doing the Striker games.

What was that game called years ago, like mario kart but with baseball bats.

Street racer?

I will play the Beta version but from watching that video it is probably not a game I will enjoy. Arcade racers have never been a favourite of mine.

First impressions for me are that I'd have to play it for a laugh and not take it seriously. It's very Mario Kart in that you can get raped from behind if you are in the lead. It pays to have a decent range of weapons (you can carry 3), some of which you can fire backwards.

If I took it too seriously I think I'd get frustrated that it's not always the best 'driver' who wins. But then that's not a bad thing, as it adds a different element to the gameplay.

It's not so much an arcade racer, as the racing is just a small part of it.

I'll probably give it a go, but I think I'm more likely to prefer Split Second.

Given it a good go this evening. Not many on though until it goes live to the public I'd guess.

15 of us blasting the crap out of each other is actually really fun though.

Finally got round to downloading this today. Quickly hit therank limit for the beta. It is basicly diddy kong racing with real cars. It's actually alright, upto 20 players in a race although that is a bit hectic. Will defo be getting it.
