stock air box is that the standard one you get mate.

cheers for that guys. i alreadt hace the stock air box with the itg filter i just thought that induciton kit would be better:S think i might stick then.
We did a lot of testing a while back and found no difference between the standard airboxes and aftermarket options with fairly standard power outputs, anything open air filter'like lost 3 - 4 bhp.
Phase 1 airbox is technically lower loss than the Phase 2 but I've not seen enough of a difference in my experience of them to make me think it's worthwhile swapping between them.
If you want some extra noise drill a few holes on the pre-filter side of the stock box

cheers matti . here you do good re maps where abouts are you based?
Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire. About halfway between Northampton and Cambridge on the A14.

righto mate ill have a look for it on internet when i get some money will have a rub down mate. how much more bhp do 172 usually get from a good re map?
dont expect much peak increase mate, however your mid range power will be much more useful, instead of the kick at 5k it just pulls much harder from around 3k upwards.

ahh right nice one so worth doing then. but before i do it ill have to de cat exhaust first so can map it to that. you a fan of decats hipwell?
10bhp is achieveable on a remap, come to think of it i think i gained 10.1bhp, you have asked all these questions before mate in threads yesterday

woooh ok pal keep ypur hair on lol you dont have to spit ya dummy out there just so many different opinions on things i just asking different peoples views you said yours and i appriciate it cheers. for instance you said there you gained 10bhp where few people say no way you will get 10bhp see my point why i asking different opinions!!!

Not spitting no dummy out mate its just you seem to be asking the same questions over and over and creating the same threads, the search button is you best friend as all the things you need to know have been discussed many times, as far remapping, a standard remap i.e rstuner you will see 6bhp max wheres a custom remap you will see slightly more bhp, like i said i gained 10bhp at rstuning

cheers mate for your advice its taken on board think ill go with standard at rs soundslike it done your cup well pal.
If you want to have a drive in a remapped clio before you get yours done you more than welcome have a drive in mine, dont live far from you

just looked into that rs tuning for standard re map says it will add uptp 8bhp think ill go for that one mate if it was good for your cup. doesnt give a price though how much is it pal?
