Nah honestly insurance companies dont class colour codeing as a modifcation, CIS rep came around an noted my old fiesta as standard when it quite obviously was fully colour coded, and u can tell with those old mark 3s
Renault are now offering the strips to be bodycoloured yes, and they are pretty competitive prices to i think! (around the 250 mark) which is good for renault,
but yeah i had all mine colour coded on my 1.2 16v and it looks the mutts nuts. & no it doesnt effect the insurance, I know of this by experience coz my insurance got voided coz of the harnesses n alloys, not coz of the lexus lights or bodycolouredness
