body control sensor

  Focius ST
car died today and is now sat outside renault, the mechanic that towed me thinks it is the body control sensor thats knackered, anybody got any ideas on the damage this is going to cause to my wallet?

cheers

not sure, but it will 99.9% be a renault part only and it doesn't sound cheap. whats wrong with the car exactly?

lights went out on the dash, pulled over to discover rear lights werent working to, so turned engine off checked a fuses to see if any had blown, went to start car and it had triggered immobiliser so had to tow it to renault

so renault have diagnosed it as the body control sensor being to blame?

i dunno just what mechanic mate had told me im off up to renault first thing get them to run diagnostics on it, feel the car is a bad omen at the minute tho so might be time to chop it in

don't rush into that yet. let them run the diag on it see what the exact problem is and then go from there.

that's the sort of high costs involved with running these types of cars 172/182's etc.

unfortunate i know but that's the way it is.
