Body Panel Respray

Hi,

What would be the best colour to get if you were to respray a body panel, e.g if you were to respray a front bumper blue what would be the best colour to get the bumper if you couldn't get it in the original colour?

i think tbh it wouldnt make too big a difference as usually it'l get sprayed in grey primer first so they all end up grey before your colour goes on...

but as a safety if you were worried stick to light coloured panels for light coloured cars... and dark for blacks etc

doesnt really matter as you're buying 2nd hand and its bound to have stone chips anyway. so itll be sanded and more than likely primed all over

If buying a tidy panel and just wanting it preped and painted by a bodyshop, not bared, primed and then painted, then stay away from reds and pinks/purples like the plague unless a red car and stick to silvers and light blues, always provide a good base and can be easily thin primed, with red youll be there for days.
