Technomag F1s in Peugeot fitment as well as spacers/hub converters. I wanted 8.5x18 on the back and Renault fitment wasnt available in that size. Also Pug wheels have a low offset. Working out those wheels has been a right pain in the arse!!! Nick G has a Dimma Clio and he is getting the same spacers as mine but thicker and putting Scooby wheels on and they have a very high offset even higher than standard Renault. Spacers is the way to go as long as you get ones that bolt onto the hub and keep your hub centric you should not have a problem. That is what Dimma told me and Nick. Dimma do them for £350, but I am getting the powerflow round the corner from me to do them for £200.
The bubbles are fairly big, in comparison with kettle bubbles anyway.
Theres also masses of vapour from the exhaust, but I think thats pretty normal at this time of the year. Theres no water in the oil and vice versa.
I went through all these checks a few weeks ago when my engine spat out a spark plug and I didnt find anything odd then (must have been a loose plug). The idling of the car still goes a bit dicky from time to time, though thats probably an ignition/fuel system fault.
Colin: thanks for that. Im running into some dosh at the end of the summer and am wondering whether to turbo or Maxi my car. At the moment its Maxi thats got my attention, since my car isnt exactly a slouch anyway. But if I get any major engine trouble before then, itll be a turbo for me.

Is it losing water at all?
No water loss, although there was a minor leak from the radiator a while ago (radweld cured that). Cheers guys, will try the ideas this morning.

I did a study of the Pucklechurch LETS scheme a few years ago - where people trade their services (like haircuts, homegrown veg, car mechanics, babysitting etc) for credits - and you redeem these credits for other services in return.

Pucklechurch is alright, agreed with BenR its a bit isolated but most of the time thats nice, byt then again without traffic i can be in the centre in under 15mins,
so yes Ben name a convienent place round whiteladies where you can park a bike.
The barter economy was rife in the tyre place and i like it, but i have seen no evidence of it in pucklechurch itself, must be the inbred yokal hill billies, who i avoid.
starter stalk and anything else ben? i have a complete throttle body and inlet minifold i believe including the idle controll valve, hours of fun, and cheap.

_KDF: the system was flushed and a new header tank fitted about 5k miles ago, when I stuck some radweld in because there was a little leak from the radiator bleed screw. It was enough to go from "max" to "min" on the header tank within 1000 miles. So I guess I just have to live with the downsides to Radweld or get a new rad. The thermostat and other sensors are all pretty new and work OK.
