Bolt spacing

Does anyone know what the bolt spacing is for a clio rush 1.2 55reg. is it 58mm?

Need to know what size i need for spring & damper kit.

They vary, you could measure it yourself though if you know what you're looking for. My 2003 1.2 16v is 58mm, but can't guarantee yours will be!

What would i be measuring/ where abouts? lol. I know nothing.

It's the two bolts that fix your strut to your hub... you have to measure them from top to top of the holes. Probably a bit difficult if you're unsure though

yes your is almost definatly 58mm but go double check

only way to be sure is go and check it yourself or a garage can probs do it for free

do i have to take the wheel off? i assume im measuring the two holes, edge to edge or centre to centre?
oh, and do i measure the front or back struts?

just the front one mate. you dont have to take the wheel off just full lock it but makes life alot easier so i would recommend you take it off. anyways yeh at the bottom of the suspension strut you willl see to bolts holding it to teh hub. measure the distance between these two bolts. this is best doe by measuring from teh top of the top bolt to the top of the lower bolt. this is so the distance you measure is equidistant. hope this helps

Just measure from bolt to bolt and it was 70mm, so i think i might need to take the wheel off then remove the two bolts on the strut so i can get the measurements for the actual holes.

no need to do that mate. actually DONT do that as you will need your camber redone agiain. easily measure from centre of top bolt to centre of bottom bolt. be careful when you take the measurments mate.

Try measuring from the back of the bolt (smaller bit). The top of that to the top of the other one.

ok, will have to do that tomorrow morning, i will take the wheel off to make it easier though.

Just measured it and it was 54mm, does that sound right? how much would it cost/ how much trouble is it to get the holes re-drilled to 58mm? can it be done?

very odd. anyways no dont redrilll mate. you can buy suspension kits that are 54mm.

found some second hand ones on the bay, they have a bolt spacing of 54mm the same as mine. however they a from a J reg clio 1.4 RT, would these fit my 1.2 55reg?

havent a clue but i would imagine the rear shocks being different

Measure centre to centre to be sure first mate.
