bonnet lock catch

HI all

so i took the little button thing that presses down when the bonnet is shut to tell the car its shut. i tok this off earlier and it fell down into the engine now the car wont lock without making an alarm noise.

is there any fuse i can take out to stop this from happening and allowing car to lock?

Disconnect the wire to the bit that holds the button
