bonnet question.....

hi folks aye need a new bonnet 4 my mk1 and can pick one up quite cheap. question is what r they like 2 fit? it has new hinges as well. was speaking 2 a panel beater n he says its a bit of a c*!t 2 do but was just wondering if someone could tell me how hard it is 2 do as i will tackle it myself if its no2 bad.

Its a pain to do right only 4 bolts hold it on and you cannot do it worng just keep lowering it lifting it adjust etc.
You'll need somoen or best two people to hold it whilst you undo the bolts etc.

Best idea is to mark up where the catch is and copy the measurments up to the new bonnet. Then all you have to do is make sure you bolt it up in the places marked on the bonnet.
