LOL, and i got called slow when i quoted 5.5-6 hours on here. f**king HATEFUL job, I'd rather do a skyline without ramps or a trans jack than a 172

Done mine last saturday due to the "rusty diaphragm" problem.

Took me and a colleuge an hour to rip the box out and 3 hours all in to put it back together on a ramp.

I didnt think it was a bad job at all danny. Would love to try a syline :p

I had a gearbox oil leak from the selector arm on my 172 that was a bit more serious than the standard weeping that most people describe. I got it repaired at a gearbox repair center where they only charged me £150+VAT for gearbox removal and refitting. Do people think this is a fair price? I personally think its a bit cheap, considering how difficult it is to get the box off 172's in the first place. It makes me wonder whether they actually removed the box at all lol <- I'm always a bit paranoid when it comes to other people working on my cars  I always feel thay might diddle me!
