boost on a tce?

There was a guy on here running 130bhp with a remap (this was the safety limit iirc). Don't remember his name though.

would definately be happy enough with 130bhp... expecially fi it in the safty limit cos drive it everyday so need it still to be relaible enough

Remaped to 130bhp would make it a nippy motor though. They feel surprisingly good to drive standard the TCE, compared to a 1.2 16v. Albeit I didn't feel it a worthwile upgrade.

a Twingo GT with 130 brake?
given it's slightly lighter weight, if you bolted some more heavy-duty brakes on, would this not make it at least on par with the RS Twingo?

Yup, like the Clio TCE, the Twingo GT (TCE) can be remapped to 125ish standard. Might squeeze 2/3 more out with simple breathing mods.

If you want more, as K-Tec found out, you'll need a new clutch and larger injectors (this is for the Twingo, not too sure on the Clio side of things).

138Bhp is the max on the TCEs before you start blowing s**t up, or so ive been told. dunno how much boost its running at that though.

I saw a Twingo GT with a remap, powerflow exhaust and a KTEC dump valve rolling road 127.5 bhp at FCS.

Was speaking to K-Tec and they did a Twingo TCE the other day, gained 25BHP, 35 ft/lb and increased boost by 0.2bar with a remap and panel filter. Just came across this:

The 0-60 of the T-Jet is 8.7 secs, so pretty good performance after the remap. Obviously I have no clue what figures the Clio in the video is running at.
