After some help if you'd please.
couple of weeks ago my boot wouldn't open. Read up on here that it could be the solenoid and how to get the trim off, open up the boot etc.
So i've opened up the boot and checked the simple plastic mechanism that stops the button from being pressed in. Unclipped to the motor, took it all apart had a look if anything was blocked and it seems to work fine when you scroll it manually. Reattached the the motor tried locking and unlocking and it looks as if the motors/ solenoid is giving up as people have recommended here.
One question though, where is the solenoid as I can't for the life of me find it by looking first hand and in the Haynes manual?
