Bora 4x4

I thought I would post some pictures of a lad I know's VW Bora, he shares a lock up with me and I thought some would appreciate the pics.

Its one of only 150 4x4 Bora's in existence (so i'm told)

He has swapped the engine out for an early Audi TT V6 engine which i'm told is stronger and has around 320bhp. It has Different hub's to allow the fitment of 19" OZ racing wheels which are awesome. At a guess I would say they are 400mm/15" Porsche Cayenne brakes and suspension I have never seen before. I never knew you could fit coilover's and airbag's, they are FK coily's with 50mm bag's. Full interior of mk4 r32, the konigsport seats in black leather.

Im not usually into stanced VW's but this thing is pretty cool, it will be able to drive well and look good when you want.

Aren't all 4motion Bora's 4wd?

First saw that suspension setup a couple of years ago, a lot cheaper than full air setup iirc. Designed so you can deck it and use the bags to raise it over bumps/rough roads.

Not a fan of the wheels at that particular size, but the brakes are awesome.

Yeah I think its 4motion but he said they are quite rare?? Good idea for the suspension, aibags aren't very performance focused but this should handle like its on coil's.

Absolutely love those wheels personally, I think they make the car, remind me of the old Escort WRC monte carlo's.

I think they are fairly rare, I've only ever seen 1 or 2. Not sure if there's only 150 though.

Pretty rare car when you consider there are 1600 172 cups left which were a special edition themselves.

Any more info on the engine? Obviously it's had a fair amount of work to get it to 320BHP.

Lol at 4mo's being rare..

It's too confused for me. 320bhp engine, good brakes, motorsport wheels then lowers it on cheap FK coils with ebay special style bags.

I've got a Passat TDi 4motion and they're hard to find - there's literally only one or 2 on ebay each month
They only made the Bora V6 in a 4motion

I love the 4wd system, it has been soooo much fun this winter even with the 130TDi engine
Although mines about 160bhp and 310lbs/ft lol

Nothing wrong with FK coilovers - and nothing wrong with combining with airbags either
Get a nice look when it's down low but with the bags fully inflated you still get decent handling from the coilovers

Really nice car I just find the Bora front end hard to love

Not sure about 320 horsies from the V6 TT engine...! They're 265 as standard and tuning (unless F/I) is like any NA engine, costly for not a lot of gain!

I didn't say it was "special" I said it was quite rare. I couldn't tell you what has been done engine wise, all he said was it was an early TT engine that was stronger.

Suspension is a new one to me, I have never seen that setup so I thought it was cool idea over full bags.

I'll ask more about it and get some more pics for who asked. I know what I would have over a 'Clio' anyway, least its not like 'ar**holes' where everyone has one.

They're an ok setup dont get me wrong. Basically some lad came up with the idea and advertised on facebook.

As for not being like arseholes..there's probably more modified Bora's on the roads than clio's tbh. And I've owned a modded Bora..
