Bottom end advice

  Renault Clio 172 RallyCar
Being rallying this weekend and have put a leg out of bed on my clio 172 rally car , it happened when I went to change from 2nd two 3rd at 7600 rpm but hit 1st in stead :( I had not put ARP bolts in the bottom end and have bin told this will cure my problem ,if I ever make the mistake again . Can anyone confirm this ?

  TDI tyre shreader
which part of the conrod failed? there lies your answer ARP bolts are substantially stronger when installed correctly

The std engines will go to high rpm, but will not live up there for long periods, especially in competition use. ARP bolts will not solve the problem and you will move the problem to the piston.
