Braided brake lines....

  Stripped yozza'd cup
My new disks and pads arrived this morning and I've decided I might as well replace the brake lines at the same time....

I've been doing some research and found a few threads on PH and various other places from people saying their goodridge hoses have inexplicably fallen apart in 18 months or so....

Soooo..... what I wanted to know was if anyone has used these?

And obviously if they're any good....

Also if anyone knows how well founded the claims of goodridge's falling apart are?

I fitted some ktec jobs about 2 years ago and they still look as new. Would recommend them from my experience.

i use front/rear hel braided lines and cannot fault them! they do their job well and havnt shown any signs of wear or damage. mine are orange :D. and about goodridge lines ive heard there not the best and over priced, be wary of some brake lines as they could be 'short' lines and as we have 20mm wider track over 172/182s on full lock would strain 'short' lines, imo id recommend hel.

Awesome, cheers guys. HEL's being ordered..... Just the biggest decision of all now....

Yellow (to match my calipers)

Blue (match the car)

Or Clear coating so the braid is visible?

the lines are hidden behind the discs, wont be able to see them im afraid, unless your cars on a lift, get clear ones, look uber cool

I had Goodridge lines on my M3 and the difference was night and day.

I have subsequently fitted them to my Valver and my last 172 cup and they felt no different at all. imo.

Haha, self pleasing. Run some ds2500 and some good brake fluid dot 4 or slighlty higher and some good discs like brembo hc, then youl deffinatley feel a good difference in braking, nice and firm. Will benifit them lines.
