Braided lines

  Clio 172 Cup
Been reading a few threads as was going to go for the Goodridge set but seems they don't come well recommended, Fred@BTM mentioned the Mocal ones but can't seem to find them..

I have HEL ones. I found out most places are cheaper then they are themselves.
I actually have a pair of un used rear hoses for a 172 (they supplied those instead, duh)

£57.00 for MLR hoses delivered.
You're looking at £80 for HEL or Goodridge. All you have to ask yourself is are they worth the extra £20+?

Questionable.

With the Goodridge items I would say save the cash. Over the HEL ones yes go with HEL. HEL lines IME have some of the best fittings with spinning ends, not fixed like many out there. Sounds silly but it makes installation so much easier with regards to easy of positioning, especially if the hard pipe union has seized or a numpty has caught part of a hard pipe bend on the union upon a brake line being remade. Furthermore, Goodridge and most other people use zinc plated ends which do eventually rust. The HEL ones are Stainless steel, making them a true long term investment.

I would however like to see the swaging on the MLR lines, something which is covered up.

One thing is for sure though, I would go with either over a pattern brake line, where I have seen some only fail in a couple of years!
