Brak Fluid Question

Hiya

Brought some Racing Brake Fluid 5.1 Dot on Ebay, but after having a good look at it, its not fully synthetic. Does this matter or do you have to use synthetic brake fluid on a Clio 182 :S .

Why have you bought DOT 5.1 brake fluid?

Get rid of the 5.1 its not needed you need to bleed 5.1 all the time otherwise it rusts the brakes as its hydrosopic.

I thought the higher the dot, the better, shows how much I know! So what break fluid do you recomend then as Iv just brought a goodridge brake line kit as want the breaking to be a bit better!

Dot 4, as ha been said, 5 will rust your lines v.quickly..

well in that case, ill bung the 5.1 stuff back on ebay and get some dot 4 instead. Cheers for the advice mate
