Brake Bias Valve? 16v

  Naples Valver
i'm looking into lowering my valver, i used to have a 1.4 RT and lowered that, but i believe that the brake bias valve has to be ajusted on the 16v's.

just a few questions if anyone can help.

why does it have to be ajusted?
how is it done?

thanks in advance!!
Lawrence

The bis valve is linked to the axle, it increases braking effort to the rear as the rear sits down, i.e. if you have passengers.

When you lower the car it artificially thinks that there is more load on the rear and more effort is biased to the rear. THis will cause the rears to lock.

To adj it, get under the car, undo the locking nut on the bias valve (attatched to the axle via a spring/rod) and undo it. If you dont have a pressure gauge, which not many do, then best thing to do is just to test it and keep unwinding it until the fronts lock just before the rears.
