brake bias valve after lowering?

Hi,
I have just lowered the rear of the williams.
It all went well up until getting the torsion bars back in, took me over an hour jiggling around! but all done now, and looking sweet as a nut!

On the bottom of the guide i used it says i may need to adjust the brake bias valve, where is this, and how do i do it? and is it essential?

it is essential.

The bias valve is a mechanical valve which adjusts the braking proportions to the rear depending on how much weight is on the rear of the car. This is proportional to vehicle ride height. Lowering your car artificially acts like a 'heavier' car in regards to braking proportioning and you will have more braking force at the rear.

This WILL lead to accidents in wet conditions mostly as the rears lock up.

You want to unscrew the threaded bar, moving the lever out (backwards) until the front wheels lock momentarily after the fronts. The proper way is to use a pressure valve on the bleed nipples, but most dont have this equipment.

Ive have been trying to adujust this myself today, i jacked up 1 side of the car and got a friend to apply pressure to the brake pedal until the front wheel locks up, then while keeping the same amount of pressure on the pedal press down a little more... then adjust the brake bias vale so that the rear wheel locks up.

Then repeat for the other side, re-check and slightly adjust if necessary, thats the way Lunner told me too do it
