Brake calliper original colours

The colour of the brake callipers on my 16V and now my Williams seemed to be a kind of silvery-gold colour. I cant get them clean enough on my Williams, so Im going to have to paint them.

But I dont want to paint them silver as that would clash with the gold wheels and not be original. I dont want them plain gold either as thats not the standard colour!

Does anyone know if you can get cans of silvery/goldish original brake calliper paint? Maybe I should get a can of car body paint?

i think the original colour is just the plating it has as standard. You could go to a colour match place and get them to find a colour near it?

Frost sell a metal tint spray that gives a kinda perol gold finish.

more then likely they are zinc coated, thats the colour it is...

whatever you paint them....make sure it can withstand the v/high temps !! or ur wastin ur time ...........& money
