Best thing todo is bash them a couple of times with a hammer, this loosens them up no end, the either use a T30/40 on a ratchet/air gun, or a impact screwdriver (Worth buying very cheap never fails). Wire brush them and put loads of copper slip round them and bang them in.
What the screw or the socket? It'll never turn if you just put the socket on them straight away, you'll mash the head up. shock them with the hammer/WD40 them to loosen them up a bit.
