Brake fluid level

Following on from Mike@Rentech saying check you brake fluid level, just went to check mine, why did reanult put it the most awkward place, but as i can't see any levels is this ok?
What sort does it use if i need to top it up?

little bit low that, check your brake pads first before topping up the fluid

any DOT 4 will do

Pads are fine checked them a few days ago, should it be above the the white ridge?

yeah above that bit, how "fine" are you pads though?? how muuch meat was left?

say over 1cm maybe 1.5, think they must have been changed last service (4k ago)

Found some morrisons DOT 3&4 as in the bottle says 3&4 on it, that ok?

i would leave it til you fit new pads, thats not dangerously low

if you top the fluid up now, you're going to have to bleed some out when you fit new pads

Doh to late lol, didn't put much in anyway so will be fine.
