Recently ive noticed my brakes have been shockingly bad ..I checked the brake fluid..The 1 under the engine cover rite? and it seems bone dry to what i can see.

Does the brake fluid i get have to be any special sort form reno themselves or not?

Also do you have to just fill up or bleed them ?

Sorry complete novice to all this.....

Thanks

should be markings on brake fluid reservoir if its at the right point on that then is ok if not then yeh top it up, most brake fluid is pretty much the same but double check with renault. have you checked your actual brakes?? your pads low?? mileage?? could ave a leak if its low at a low mileage?

On my old 172 i got the brake warning light come on when going round a sweeping bend at high speed , when i checked the brake fluid reservoir the cap was slightly loose and some of the fluid must have spilled out over time . When i bought my 182 one of the first things i did was check the cap on the brake fluid res and that was loose too so i tightened it up .

Get some castrol response dot 4 brake fluid from Halfords and bleed your brakes , you should notice a difference if its only the fluid .
