Brake Light not working

Hi guys, I've just collected my 172 cup today and I found out after I brought it home that the Brake light in the roof spoiler does'nt work, can anyone help with this?

probably a broken cable from where it bends coming from the car to the boot.

Both me and another user had this problem when we first plugged it in, then totally randomly after a day driving about, it came to life. My advise, test it again in a day or two.

Sounds crazy I know.. but worth a shot before you mess with it.
