Brake pedal feel...

Hi guys, fitted brembo HC discs, Ds2500 pads and moquip hoses, bleed the whole system for quite a while, but there still seems to be quite a bit of pedal travel..

Goes all the way down to like the point it stops cause of the pedal, not cause its clamping loads...

Has been bled correctly, did it for quite some time ... :(

Any help appriciated

A few have had this trouble, not use if it was something to do with the ABS unit having air trapped.

I'm sure someone on here will tell you

i had a lot of pedal travel with that set up, Fred u might remember driving the car last year at oulton? pedal went to the floor...

They were bled corner to corner Fred, Front left, rear right, front right rear left ....

They feel ok, just not amazing like i thought they would be.. :(

I've found something that tells you how to bed t hem in quickly so ill do it later.

50 - 20mph stops a dozen times, 3 or 4 70 - 20 stops and on the final one come to a halt and hold the pedal down as hard as you can for 2 minutes, this will mate the surfaces.

So it says..

clio pedal feel is never good!!! I bled mine with pressure bleeder till id put 2 litres through it and its never what id call great!!! its probably due to the original calipers flexing and the over servoed nature of renault brakes!!!

Do not hold the pads on the discs like that when they're that hot or you'll be binning them. Don't even stop after getting them hot.

I always had that much pedal travel and it was 110% fully bled.

ive got the same setup and my pedal feel is awesome, esp when the pads have been given a few solid stops.

i would get them bled properly.

That's how Lotus do it :|

How should it be done then ?
Same way just don't stop with the brakes held on or the heat will kill the pads/maybe warp the disc. Just keep driving without using the brake for 5 minutes or so to cool them back off again.
