a little trip i always use at work for brake squeal is on the leading edge of the pad file it down to create a slope. also deglaze the pads and disc and make sure the carrier is free or dirt and debris. this combined with what nik has said, on 9 out 10 cases normally sovles the problem.

Yeah i greased the edges up, i got anti squeal shims to stick on the back of the pads. by the leading edge do you mean the top if u like as u look as it? Also deglaze? what does this involve?

deglaze = sand them down. (they normally look really shinny when they need deglazing)

file down leading edge = on the friction material of the pad work out when the wheel is rotating forwards which edge of the pad will contact the disc first and the file it down to create a slope. it might be easier to explain if i draw a picture and post it lol.

iirc, going foward at a decent speed, slamming on.... and then reversing a decent speed, and slamming on can help stop the squeeling!

mine is squeaky atm, but not had chance to sort them

^^sam, well acording to ferodo they have there own lubricant already on the back of the pad

I tried that, also tried driving whilst braking (left foot on brake) for 200 metres or so. Still does it though, think it's probably just the pads though - they're cheapish ones
