Brake/Stop Light flashing....



Had new disks and pads front and rear last week, today the brake light on dash keeps coming on for a split second then going off for a few miles then flash on again? any ideas please guys? before i take it back to the geeza tomorrow who fitted brakes. thanks

Does the light flash usually when you're going round a sweeping bend , say at speed ?If it does , check your brake fluid level , it might need topping up . This often than occurs more when you've got older discs and pads as the level of the fluid drops with wear . He just might not have put enough brake fluid in .

sort of, when the brake fluid level is low the lights flicker on the dash, low brake fluid should mean low brake pads, but by the sound of it the guy who fitted them has cocked up

Not ideal but I suppose it's better than having the expense of new sensors. Your eyes never lie though, have a look.
 
Thanks guys, the brake fluid was indeed low. And yes the light was coming on round corners. Topped it up and the light remains off. Thanks again!! Chris
