Brake Upgrade Help

  RS Clio 200
am looking to upgrade my brakes on the 172.
So far i am considering 2 options:

1 - K-tec 4pot front system (£840)
2 - Brembo front discs, with blue Pagid RS Pads and braided brake lines (£400)

Can anyone else recommend me something different, better, etc.. baring in mind i do drive quite fast, hard, and want them track ready.

also, is it worth doing the backs?

DS2500 pads with new diks and lines. £200 I think from Yozzasport.

4 pots from most places seem overpriced but they are superb I miss mine like mad.

Shed motorsport do a set for sale best do a search the owner or something is on this forum.
Yozzasport also I beliove are making or have a 4 pot setup for sale also GDI have a 4 pot I think for sale.

Making a 4 pot etc kit though isn't that difficult you could do it yourself with some effort.

DS 2500's though are more an enough for track days if you realy want there always the option of DS3000 or PF97 but they will affect the paint and wheel's if not taken care of and the'll still be cheaper in the short term (until you've had a few pads changes in which case 4 pots become a good value other option).

Stock rear ones are fine. You can upgrade but the rears don't do much the only reason IMO to upgrade the rears are so you can tell people you've uprated pads all round or if you run a Bias valve and can fully utilise the rear brakes or you want to try and keep the rear diks clean more since the harder pads will be harder on the disk so the dirsks won't rust.

ill just got with the fronts then for now, and upgrade the rears when i am feeling more flush

I've run stock rear brakes for 70K miles now, and I've still got 50% of the original factory fitted pads still to go. This is after regular trackdays and some very punishing work. The backs do fook all, don't spend a penny on them.

I prefer Pagid Blues over the Ferodo DS2500, I had some quite serious fade issues at Bedford on the DS2500's, but then Bedford is notoriously hard on brakes.

Fit Pagid Blues, braided lines, Brembo HC discs, decent fresh fluid...and you'll be head-butting the screen time after time in no time.

excellent cheers guys.
In that case i shall go ahead and paint my calipers, as i was holding off doing so with the thought of 4pots in my mind.
