Brake warning lights

  BMW 320d SE
If I go round a long sweeping corner at speed, the brake warning light (the same one as when you apply the handbrake) comes on, sometimes flickering, along with the STOP light.
Anyone want to hazard a guess as to what this might mean?
I thought possibly low brake fluid level, but when I went to check it, I couldn't find the reservoir!

The resevoir is under the engine cover round the bvack of the engne by the firewall.
Remove the cover and look down the back by the drivers feet and you'll see it.
Its very likly to be that and if it is you might be needing new pads as thats what the warning is supposed to show although its useless at its job.

Thanks. My car is only a year old with 14500 on the clock, so surely I wouldn't be needing new pads yet?

I take it you've had you 12k service done they should have told you then how badly the pads were worn or topped up the brakes fluid so this shouldn't have happened.
Different drivers go through pads at different rates so I you may have worn your pads you might have barly touched them.
