  clio 172 cup
right i need some new disks and pads on my cup anyone got some good suggestions? ive got standard disks and green stuff pads at the min and they are ok nothing brilliant though

Green stuff suck in a BIG way, stick wiht eh std discs and stick pagid fast road pads on, they are about £30 from GSF, quote cliosport and you get a discount, never once been asked for my membership card

Get some Brembo Grp N replacement disks from GSF/Yozzasport: £60 for the pair (they have wear-indicators which are quite useful).

Also some Ferodo DS2500 pads (demon-teeeks/Yozzaspt): approx £85

You'll love it (once a bit warm).

For more bite, PF97 pads afaik - but they need a bit or warming-up before they really stop you.

While you're at it, you might as well do the hoses - goodridge braided hoses are good (again, demon-twks/Yozspt).

Normal Brembo discs have wear indicators

Not trying to under cut Y0z etc, btu check out rally design for the DS2500 pads, iirc they were £35 + vat + delivery, my DS2000 pads cost me £4 for next day delivery

Gosh! £35?!

Ah, but for some reason, the 172/182 ones are always a bit dear...

PS Grp N is "Normal" - sorry for not making that clear.

Another option is the Brembo Max (?) discs from Yoz with the Pagid Blue race pads - they're better than standard from cold and just refuse to fade as well!

I can highly recommend them

I checked the discs yesterday and after 6+ months of normal speedy driving + the hour on track at FCS, they're still basically brand new looking! No lip at all on them!

For the record my pagids have done 3 full track days, and an hour on track at FCS, over 10K of road driving, discs barley have a lip ont ehm, and pagids are about 65% worn

Which Pagids? The Fast Road ones that Lunner recommends from GSF or the Pagid Blues Race version that I like?? lol :p

I think the Blues are fitted to the Lambo Murcielago as standard

Can't compare to the race version, but i've done anglesey, bruntinthorpe, donnington and never had any brake fade, i was out for 30 mins at a time at bruntingthorpe,a nd at anglesey and donningotn was hardley in the paddock atall, and as i siad, never had any brake fade, tyres went off before brakes did

thats what ive got on at the min the new green stuff ones, the blue pagids i was on about. so come on make a choice for me i do about one or two track days a year and cane the ass of it when im in the mood what disks and pads should i get for a 172 cup

  Lionel Richie
i'd say Brembo GrpN discs (£65 from us for a pair)
and Ferodo DS2500 pads (£80 from us)
Goodridge Braided lines (£50 from us)

yeah they do make a difference

not that hard to fit, just a bit messy, plus you then need to bleed the brakes, again easy to do

If you're near Birmingham i can fit them for you too
