Brembos for CUP

Can you get a Brembo conversion for a CUP and is it worthwhile ? or is there a recommended alternative ?

Had an upgrade on an Ibiza Cupra and the improvement was astonishing.

Yeah, you can get Brembos for a Cup/172 but to be honest you dont need them and particularly on a Cup no ABS + mega brakes = overkill!!!

you can just change the pads, and if you feel like it use braided hoses and racing brake fluid. There are loads of very good pads available for the 172/cup. I am not aware of a Brembo kit specifically available for the 172/cup without changing to larger diameter wheels.

agree with rich better brakes on the cup without abs is just suicide..ulter lock up nearly everytime!!! pads are the best bet

i looked into this the other month, Hi-spec do a 4 pot conversion to fit behind the 16"s (300mm disks) brembos youll need 17"s to fit the bigger calipers, AP Racing do an race kit but its not dust sealed no not to great for road use unless you wanna be cleaning your brakes every week. I very good friend of mine used God speed and ended up in a legal battle with them, they were so bad it was untrue, the calipers were old volvo 1s which had bee widened! he ended up with a set of 6 pot Tarox and couldnt sing their praises enough!

Ive decided just to uprate the disks and pads, dont fancy locking up all the time!!!!
