Brighter Bulbs.

  Remapped derv Golf

Thinking on putting brighter bulbs in the headlights of my cup. Any ideas with types are good. Ive been looking at Philips blue vision H4s and Philips silvervision for the indicators.

Are the main beems worth the extra money? and are the a lot brighter

Philips Blue Vision were *A LOT* better than my standard bulbs.

Dunno what bulbs are standard in a Cup, but compared to my standards, they were amazing! Well worth the £24.99 (Two H4s and Two Sidelights)

Weird - I thought the bulbs in the cup were H4s so I ordered some for mine but it turned out they were H7s in my car so the new bulbs are in the wifes rover now!

Dont know what the sidelight fitting is - just a standars push fitting. If you want distinctive rather than bright sidelights I can recomment the white LED prism bulbs - look really different IMHO

Defo H7s - have replaced them with some Halfords extra bright bulbs (spur of the moment purcahse) after the bluevisions didnt fit.

I thought it was weird at the time cos my wife used to have a dynamique and that had H4s. Maybe its unique to silver cups? Probably not though, just whatever connectors they found in the parts bin when the H4 ones ran out :)

I got the halford uprated ones H7 ones a few weeks ago (50% brighter type) seem to be much better especailly about 1 to 1 1/2 car lengths away. However I was driving round with only one headlight for a while so maybe the differecne would have been just as good with a normal replacemnt.

If they last longer then the normal ones there woth the extra

The drvers side dead easy to do the passenger side well only Renault could make something so difficult, access it terriable.

you wanna try fitting them to a 172/182 then, what with the bloody great big engine, air con her there and everywhere and the xenon lights there is nooooooo rooooom what so ever either side! They are shocking access

if your gonna go for any uprated bulbs you have to go for the PIAA bulbs, awasome. I picked up some of the "legal" Platinum White HE268/EWC1 - H4 P43T 60/55 = 110/100W E-Marked, very good, bright white light
