Bringing paintwork back to life - RB 182

I have an 05 plate 182 in RB and when it's washed it looks very clean.But i've only polished it once in three years so you can guess what it'll look like.Now..l don't want to be polishing for a full day so was wondering if l use some cutting polish (that my bro gave me about 8 years ago) and then used some Turtle Wax stuff,after it's been washed,would this be a good way making the car look good? Or would l be better washing it and then using a high quality polish and if so which?

Depends what you want to achieve Dave.

There are several options open to you. You can hand polish with something simple like Auto Glym Super Resin Polish (available in any Halfords etc). This will make the car look a lot better, but will not last that long (make sure that you seal the paint work after with something like Auto Glym Extra Gloss Protection).

Or you can pay for the car to be professionally corrected using a machine. I noticed that you are in Bury (not far from me). This process will take the paint work back to a perfect finish, i.e. getting rid of very tiny marks in the paint, known as swirling or marring.

I'm not one for putting a lot of effort into polishing TBH more of just making the car look good.The paint work is not bad just a little dull.

Is there a polish that can be applied in one cost that gives good value for money as well as a decent finish?

Yes, Autoglym Super Resin Polish as said!

In that case, Super Resin Polish is your best bet. Very easy to apply and take off. It does contain fillers so will make the paint work look very good and fill some of the scratches making the paint work look a little dull.
