Broadband problem

me and my mum have both recently upgraded to broadband, mine works! hers doesn't!

she has tried many times phoning wanadoo, but they still havn't fixed it.
it connects but for only half an hour at a time then cuts out.

anyone know wot the problem may be?

She use a USB modem/router by anychance?

Certain motherboards like to powerdown the USB ports after periods of time, which can cause this to happen.

If its a VIA board, get the USB filter driver installed.

make sure u have filters on all phone sockets, and unplug everything phone, sky, fax etc and then try.
