Broadband Provider

  Not a Clio
We're moving in Januray and NTL (our current tv, phone and internet provider) have messed up our plans (home move tool said new house was in a cable area but it's not).

So... we need a new broadband provider. A number of checks say that we can only get 2mb so what ISP would people suggest I try? (need to check avilability first)

Tiscali do a good deal:

2Mb broadband with no cap (subject to fair usage policy) + inclusive local and national calls any time of day for £19.99 pm.

Anyone know of a better deal?

Toucan comes in close at £21 for 2mb inc calls iirc, but not heard of a better deal than that Simon.

i hate moving. Got to have 3 different providers now and can't set them up at the same time.

Bt has to sort the line for us then we can order sky and broadband :( Going to take bloody ages.

I use BT, it aint the cheapest but i have used AOL and Tiscali, both were not very reliable, and AOL insist on having all that crappy software for email etc.

Ive got BT 2mb and have used BT for a few years now and i cant remember any downtime that was there fault.

I suppose it depends how you define 'best deal' really. Personally i would stick with BT but to me price isnt the only thing to consider.

i think we'll go with option 4 (2mb, 40gig cap + free wireless router) + broadband talk evening and weekend plan.

All works out at so much more than our NTL package :(

ditch NTL, i beleive that BT and Zen offer the best broadband via ADSL. But check ADSL guide if you decide to use BT.
