Broken Drivers Window - Help Theft Imminent!

  Citroen Saxo
My drivers side window has stopped working, the window can be pulled down from the outside with your hands! Im worried that someone has broken the clips and marked the car to be stolen later on as the wing mirror has recently had tip ex put onto it! Any help would be appreciated on how to fix my window! Cheers guys and sorry if it is in the wrong section :dapprove:

The problem is your asking a CLIO forum on how to fix a SAXO window.

Edit. Your name says Saxo, car bit says Saxo. But do you drive a Clio?

get the door trim out, and stick something under the glass, like a piece of wood or whatever to keep it from coming down, until you get it fixed :)

To be honest... if someone is going to brake into your car, they arnt going to worry about taking the window down carefully, they will smash it, take what they want, and bugger off!!!

Cheers for the replys guys i do drive a Clio! I wedged the window closed with a piece of wood. I went and bought a stop lock and removed the tip ex. So far this has worked! I think that they were leaving the car to get at a quieter time thats why they did the window and then marked it! So the clip for the window is £175 that cant be right its only a small piece of plastic!:)

If you are ever stuck in a situation where this happens (I had the regulator break on my clio) and you dont have time / tools with you to take panels off etc just carry a wooden peg in your glovebox. Snap the two bits apart, they now form two wedges (kind of like a door wedge)
Now tap the thinest part between the glass and the bottom rubber of the window (on the inside when you have lifted the glass to the top) Because of the pegs shape they wont allow the glass to come down.
