Broken lap top screen

Hi peeps of the pc clan. Ive been a div and picked up my lap top by the corner of the screen and the lcd has basically run across the screen so its fooked! Ive got a new lap top but is there a cable available so i can run it thru a tv so i can bang it on a stick to transfer all me photos,music and files to me new un? Ive priced up a new screen at around 70 quid but its a bit tired and not worth the hassle. cheers!

Yeh, just use the vga out into a monitor

Or buy a cable to plug your laptop hard drive into a USB
