Broken tdc sensor = rubbish mpg?

My car is returning rubbish mpg so ive been looking on here for info and one of the symptoms igot is poor runming once cold also wont start first time which ive read is a faulty tdc sensor , i replaced my pre cat lambda last september whats the odds its broken again? Cheers

TDC sensor by the sounds of it!! take it off and clean it up..

air box out one connector and 2x10mm bolts.. its located on the top of the gearbox bell housing underneath the thermostat/CTS housing

can't miss it

Very easy to take out. Can only go one way. Small hotdog shape about two inches long
