Bt/Orange/EE broadband, Cheshire problem

Is anyone else in/around Ellesmere Port having trouble with their connection?

For the past few days the Internet has been useless, not slow, just stopped.

I rang EE this evening and the lady on the phone seems to think that it's my local exchange which is the problem and is going to get an engineer out to sort it in the next few days.

Does anyone have more info than this/if you have poor broadband, here's an explanation for you lol.

Mines shocking tonight, with TalkTalk in Kent so probably unrelated though!
