Here are my shots, first proper attempt at motorsport photography, and my first proper play with my 55-200mm VR lens.

C+C Welcomed! :)

Good effort, I know naff all about motorsport photography and how to take good pics - but my favorite images are always the ones that convey movement, like this:

Thanks :D

I found those shots very difficult to do, But slowly got the hang of it. I took so many photo's, I'll put the rest of the decent one's on tomorrow!

Nice, some good shots in there. You have the basics there, now practice and lower shutter speeds and you will get some excellent shots.

You also caught Nick, the Team Dynamics photographer shooting .... Sony - Professionally, much to the disbelief of many im sure ;)

Id like to see the real compositions. You often re-comp your picture in post which says your not taking composition into consideration when taking your pics :(

Its part of modern photography, particularly when you really need more focal length than your camera/lens can provide. Which i suspect was the case here.

Almost every shot of mine will get a crop.

My lens is only a 55-200mm, and my other lens is the kit one so I have to make do with what I have :( Often this means cropping. Sometimes I do it just because It de-clutters a background or w/e though.

For example, the one of the white cup moving that has been re-quoted. I removed the top and the bottom of the picture to focus your eye on the car.

These are really good dude, obviously got the eye for it! :)

Hard to say whether the crops are a good idea or not, I tend to try and keep the same aspect ratio for all photos, but at the end of the day these look good and it's probably what would happen to them if they were published anyway.

Not bad, strangely i like the B&W one the most, just nice to see a different capture.

Thanks! Did another one like that actually, was sort of playing with the idea of it.
