bum strips, in colour

  Audi S3 225

They are easy to fit they just slide off and cost i think £25 for door part and £15 for back part. And you can only buy them in the standard black bumber colour your original ones are in.

Are you sure? they must be able to supply body coloured for fitting to a 172?? and then you could just put them on your 1.2???

someone should phone up and ask. (not me).

most panel work from renault comes in primer & you have to colour code them yourselves.

Why do people not like speakin to renault dealers - are some of them that bad when it comes to dealin in parts ? if anyone needs any help give me the details and i will sort it for ya - mailto:matt@mattsvette.co.uk">matt@mattsvette.co.uk

Just get ur original stripes sprayed as well as ur spoiler and windscreem scutle and sunroof surround thatd look good IMO.

My renault dealer almost laughed when I asked for a renault keyring, ok its a feeble excuse for a part and having to go to the parts department for one is a bit much, but what else was I to do? ( you know they are only £10 for the chunky renault logo in 3D).

Oh, and I have given up trying to get the accessorie catalogue for the new clio! tried 2 dealers 3 times, no luck; I quite liked the look of the double rear spoiler they offered for a while.

Ive got an accessory catalogue for the new clio, ordered mudflaps, mats and a bootliner (for the dog) out of there, there wasnt much else in there, they still do the double spoiler (its on the dynamiques etc) its £136.00 and the part no is 77 01 410 747. Im also getting a roof rack and bike holder from there.

Are we talkiing about the same keyring? becuase I have bought 2 (double the spanking), from two different dealers (about 8mnths ago) and both quoted something like £9... I rem paying the same for both.

Its solid, 3d, renault logo. Maybee it just goes to prove how awfull my dealers are!

--- Has anyone bought the sill protectors, (I paid £20 a pair for black plastic), can you get the silver ones like on the (I think) cup? price? part?

I posted a similar thread yesterday but no one replied :( it’s been a never-ending problem for me too mates! Ive had several quotes to get my front/back and side bumper strips sprayed silver and the quotes have ranged from £200-350! Seems absolutely crazy when you think about the size of them! They repeatedly say about the textured surface of them and that because the car is a year old it will have wax on it blah blah and the paint wouldn’t stick to it without severe cleaning! Fair enough but how can they justify charging that amount!!!!

I then thought about just taking them off myself and spraying them, but you really feel somewhat put off from ripping off all the bumpers from a near new car and attempting to clean/spray/lacker them on your tod!

what would be better/cheaper, getting the sraped, or buying new ones with primer and then doing the painting and lacquering yourself??
