Bumper removal, how easy

Just had a call from Renault to say that they finnaly have my washer jet ball.......Yes the right part at last!!!!!

Dont wanna pay £50 for them to fit it so was wondering how easy or hard it would be to fit it myself, or should I take it to a local garage and get them to do it????

I saw a black 172 for sale yesterday, same age as mine...same washer ball missing....;)

so no ones ever removed their bumper then??!!;)

Not to worry, just been down to the dealer to pick up the offending part and he asked why I didnt want them to fit it. So I told him I couldnt justify spending £50 an hour labour charge, for a basic bit of plastic that I could live without....

He said "but we are experts on your car, you want an expert to do it surely?" So I said no, I didnt need a mechanical expert to take off the bumper, to repair the engine then fair enough, but not for this.

They agreed and they knocked off £20 from the labour charge!!!! :D

There gonna do it Friday while I wait....at last my car will be complete! :devilish:

Wot not under warranty?
coz it was missing when I bought it from another dealer (they kindly pointed out!) then I would have to get it done by the other dealer, if not then they would have to charge.....

As it would cost me more in petrol for the trip back, plus the hassle factor, coz it was a car supermarket and all that, just didnt seem worth it....didnt even notice it was missing till someone posted about theirs on here...doh!!!!!
