burning avi video files to dvd format

is it possible to burn avi video files to dvd format.

ive tried nero6 but to no avail.

any one recomend a programme??

I had the same nightmare, Sony DVD Architect 2.0 did the job..

nero 6 works fine for me but u need the nero vision express version, takes about 30 mins to convert and burn.

ive got the sony dvd architect know but cant workout how to use it :S

i have nerovison 6 but it wont find the files

griff. Whats the dif between a divx player and a normal dvd player, all my players play my divx converted movies fine.

A DIVX player will play DVD's and unconverted standard AVI files.

Rather than download a film and convert it to dvd I simply stick the avi on a cd-r and the player does the decoding.
