Burning smell on idle

Another strange one, seems to be what my car excels at.

If I leave the car to idle for roughly 5-10 mins or so, I get a burning smell, seems to be a burning oil smell which is a little dis-concerting. Doesn't do it everytime, just now and then and it isn't burning any more oil than it normally does. As soon as I start driving the car the smell disappears.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Forgot to say, the smell is more apparent inside the cabin and even more so if the blowers are on. If you lift the bonnet and breath in around the engine there doesn't seem to much evidence of the smell.

Mine does this sometimes. No longer worries me.
