Buyers Guide

Hello,



Going to see my first 16v this weekend.

I know a fair amount about cars, but every car has its faults, could you guys please help, and give me a comprehensive list of things to look for, when buying a clio. I have printed the Buyers checklist, but im sure this can be added to.

Roughly could you give me a basic what to look for and what to listen for concerning.

Engine, Bodywork, Suspension, Clutch, that sort of thing.

think he knows what 2 look 4 in general but is after specific things 2 look out 4 on the 16v

i.e. rusty arches, rust around windows kinda thing

with all the valver owners should expect some replies anyway

Thats the case, i know the general hting to look for, just noises of a big end going or something i wouldnt have clue. Specific things that have gone wrong on ur valver, what did they sound like etc, cheers

Check for a leaky sunroof and rust under the seal of the rear windows. It starts where the join in the rubber is. Beyond that most of its covered in the buyers guide.

and check teh gearbox, seems to be a fair amount of them going at the mo, check you can select every gear from cold.

The cliosport buyers guide is 16v specific I thought? I had a feeling that our own Nick Read wrote it didnt he?
