Buying a Clio 197- one question.

Hi there,

I'm hopefully buying a Clio 197 soon! It seems to be in pretty good nick and exited to get it! Been lurking in the forums for a few weeks now and I've seen stuff about cambelts. I read that they need replaced every 72k and the one I am looking to purchase is 68k. Does this seem a bit suspicious and or does it really need changed after 72k miles. Thank you!

£500-700 depending on where you go.

Mine is on 70odd k at the moment and is due its second belt service.

If they haven't had one yet id be steering clear.

Just found out it's been recently done with receipts to prove So it's looking good! Will post a thread when I get her! Thanks for advice guys

Receipts from an official Renault dealer, so I'm assuming it's all A-okay
