Buying a used Macbook Pro....

  Mini JCW
As per title, my cr@ppy dell laptop is on its last legs, and I am looking to build either a desktop PC (for no more than £5 - 600), or buy a second hand unibody macbook pro as a replacement.

Any users on here that could give feedback on these laptops? Also am I wise to buy a second hand MBP? (I would be collecting and veiwing prior to paying of course).

Cheers

Anthony

for £600 you could get quite a decent desktop.

Do you need portability ?

As KDF if you do not need Portability then build a desktop better bang for the buck!

If you do buy a used Macbook avoid mine it has been battered ;)

You're posting in the PC and PC Gaming sub forum!!! :rasp:
I've always thought macs are for fashion posers.... unless you are in Photography/Audio/Visual industries, you have no real use for the expensive name tag.

For £500-600, you could build yourself a pretty decent gaming PC, if gaming isn't your thing, then you could save money on a graphics card and invest it in a massive screen (e.g. 24"+) for film viewing/document editing.

Why don't you tell us what & when you'll be using it for, that way be can better "cater" to your needs.
